The goal of these interventions is to engage the Government of Georgia, think tanks, and research or civil society institutions in public policy discussions based on unbiased, fact-based information obtained through high quality research and analysis, and to communicate this information to the public. The end result would be to maximize the involvement and expertise of Georgian organizations and institutions, and to foster relationships and partnerships among these entities in the process of public policy discourse.
The EU launched a preparatory process with Georgia aiming to support the country's efforts to create the necessary conditions for the launch of Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA) negotiations.
PMCG provided a consulting support to introduce HACCP system and to standardize procurement operations in Agara Sugar Management. The service included inter alia the following processes: Analyzing and introducing mechanisms for controlling critical processes from the food safety point of view; defining and providing research schemes for production, procurement, processing and packaging operations; introducing united risk controlling and minimizing system and collaborating system for analyzing physical, chemical and biological dangers; providing a Good Hygiene Practice (GHP) recommendations.
The Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD) contracted PMCG to provide professional training support to the parliament of Georgia.
Michael Parry Consulting together with PMCG implemented the project to assist the Treasury Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia to conduct a study on the accounting system. Dr. Michael Parry, project team leader, is one of the world’s experienced and recognized consultants in the public finance. He assisted the Treasury Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia to conduct a study on Georgian accounting system with respect the implementation of the International Accounting Standards for Public Sector. PMCG provided accounting expertise and local support to fulfill the assignment.
PMCG implemented Japan International Cooperation Agency’s (JICA) project “The Country Profile for Georgia”.
PMCG implemented the BEI project in Kyrgyzstan, sponsored by USAID, in order to improve the business environment by concentrating on tax reforms to increase stability and predictability in tax policy, decrease tax burdens, and simplify and remove bureaucratic barriers in the tax system.
PMCG and Georgian Evaluations Association (GEA) provided, through facilitation and consulting, technical assistance to the MoFEA in the organizational strategic planning activity.
The company Aragvis Kalmakhi LLC (Aragvi Trout) is one of the largest operational companies breeding trout in Georgia. The objective of the project was the development of a business plan for the attraction of investments. PMCG launched this project in May 2008.
