The USAID/Georgia Human and Institutional Capacity Development (HICD) PLUS project is a four-year project designed to augment the implementation of USAID/Georgia’s assistance efforts in democracy and governance, economic growth, energy and environment, and the health and education sectors. The project contributes with the development of individual skills and institutional capacity of select public entities, civil society organizations, and other private organizations that play a strategic role in the implementation of the Government of Georgia’s reform program and the Mission’s Development Objectives. HICD PLUS is an official project of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and Chemonics International is the implementing partner.

According to the Government’s Economic Development, Vision and Action Plan (EDVAP), economic development and sustainable economic growth are the key goals and strategic priorities of the Republic of Kosovo. The vision for a prosperous and dignified European society for all citizens of Kosovo as well as the Economic Development Priorities within the EDVAP document, approved by the Cabinet on April 18, 2011 represent a clear direction for implementation of reforms and economic development of the country in the medium term.

PMCG is subcontracted by Chemonics International which was implementing the USAID Business Enabling Environment Program (BEEP). BEEP was a three year project to improve the free market legal environment for business through effective implementation of reformed laws and regulations, and enhanced publication and accessibly of legal and economic information by national and local governments leading to increased knowledge and understanding by citizens of the legal framework.
In July 2011, the Directorate-General for Economic and Financial Affairs of the European Commission appointed GHK Consulting and PMCG to undertake an ex-post evaluation of the Macro Financial Assistance (MFA) Operation to Georgia (2009 - 2010), based on a combination of quantitative and qualitative techniques notably, macroeconomic modelling, literature and documentary review, focus groups discussions, process tracing, and stakeholder interviews.
PMCG supported Rusmetali, one of the biggest Ferro-alloys manufacturing companies in Georgia, to obtain the ISO 9001:2008 certificate. The consulting service aimed to help the company to strengthen its position with current clients, as well as with potential clients and receive international recognition. The ISO certificate has improved the company’s operational processes, and from a long-term perspective the organization will make optimal use of financial resources and constantly deliver a high quality product.
