  PMCG is assisting the Finance Department of the Georgia Red Cross Society (GRCS) in developing and strengthening the accounting and financial management capacities. The goal is to strengthen the capacity of the Finance Department of the GRCS in order to develop its financial systems to internationally accepted standards of accounting. The objectives are as follows: To strengthen accounting and financial management capacity of the GRSC; To streamline accounting and financial systems and procedures; To establish institutional mechanism for implementation of effective financial system; To assist the GRCS Finance Department to develop a Financial Management Policies and Procedures Manual to better reflect financial management needs; To ensure conformity of the financial and general management systems and procedures with international requirements; To enhance knowledge, competence and technical skills of the GRCS staff on the best financial and accounting practices. The project is implementing under the USAID, World Learning/Georgia, and FORECAST Program. PMCG (www.pmcg.ge) is an independent management and policy consulting company established in 2007. We have already successfully implemented more than 50 projects in the business sector, as well as in public sector consulting. In the space of 3 years, PMCG implemented projects supported by various local and international institutions: WB, UNDP, EU, USAID, JICA, and DFID.

PMCG and “Agara Sugar Company”, the only sugar processing enterprise in Georgia, signed the cooperation agreement according to which, PMCG’s certified auditor-consultants will:• Provide consultations on food safety systems (HACCP);• Conduct trainings for staff and prepare Food Safety Group;• Implement Food Safety Systems in the company.“Agara Sugar Company”, Ltd. was established in 2010, but the factory has been operating since 1932 and there are now more than 500 employees in the factory. The company is the only sugar processing enterprise in Georgia, producing white sugar according to international standards. “Agara Sugar Company”, Ltd, performs in accordance with ISO 9001:2000, International quality management standard. PMCG is the independent management consulting company- established in 2007 which has already successfully implemented more than 50 projects in the business sector, as well as in public sector consulting.

PMCG’s international auditor- consultants are implementing ISO 22000:2005 (Food Safety and Quality Standards) and cooperation includes the following stages:• Create procedures within the company and implementing them in accordance with the international standard’s requirements; • Prepare the quality control group in the company;• Prepare the HACCP group;• Implement pre-certification audit and prepare the company for certification. “Ecopex”, Ltd, was founded in 2006, and aside from nuts processing, it has its own nuts’ fields in the Kakheti and Samegrelo regions of Georgia. for the European market is important to “Ecopex” Who export to numerous countries including Germany, Holland, Czech Republic, Poland, and Estonia. while the company is involved in negotiations with the US market. The main topic of the program was the Food Safety Systems- and the implementation of HACCP or ISO 22000 standards in food processing enterprises. PMCG Presented Georgian Business Climate Reforms in Afghanistan

PMCG presented successful Georgian business climate improvement reforms on the Accelerating Afghanistan Business Growth Conference in Kabul. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan, USAID (Trade and Accession Facilitation for Afghanistan, TAFA), World Bank, International Finance Corporation. The conference brought Government and business leaders together to begin making reforms in key sectors of the Afghanistan regulatory climate for small-and medium-sized businesses. Since 2002, the World Bank has carried out its Doing Business Indicators annual survey to measure the regulatory practices for small and medium-sized businesses in 183 countries around the world. Currently, Afghanistan ranks at 167. To raise the standards in Afghanistan, the conference participants formed Working Groups to propose reforms in five key indicators: starting a business, registering property, protecting investors, trading across borders, and closing a business. Georgia's remarkable achievements in the WB's Doing Business rating, and improved business climate in general, was the main issue delivered in the presentation by PMCG.

PMCG congratulates participants who successfully completed the training on Government Finance Statistics and Public Sector Accounting course. PMCG awarded special certificates to the following employees of the Ministry of Internally Displaced People from the Occupied Territories, Refugees and Accommodation of Georgia:1. Manana Tsukilashvili- Chief Specialist The World Bank contracted PMCG to provide a targeted financial management training program for the Finance Department staff of the Ministry of Internally Displaced People from the Occupied Territories, Refugees and Accommodation of Georgia. The goal of the training was to improve the overall finance management system of the Ministry through increasing the capacity of selected key staff of the FD. The topics of the training program were as follows: Accounting Instruction for Budget-Financed Organizations (Accounting) Government Finance Statistics Manual 2001(GFSM-2001) Financial Management and Procurement Manual This financial management training program will strengthen the financial management capacity of the Finance Department (FD) because trainees have developed technical skills for keeping their financial management and procurement manual continuously updated and in line with the existing financial management practices in place at the FD. It also increased FD staff awareness of the existing accounting and financial reporting methodology, its development history and the accounting reform strategy for the decade ahead.  
PMCG is Working on the IAEA’s Project ‘Model for Analysis of Energy Demand (MAED)’

PMCG has joined the International Atomic Energy Agency’s (IAEA) project Model for Analysis of Energy Demand (MAED). PMCG’s representative is participating in a one month training program which is held at the head office of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria. MAED model is used to evaluate future energy demand based on medium to long-term scenarios of socio-economic, technological and demographic development. PMCG is participating in this program together with the National Statistics Office of Georgia and the Ministry of Energy of Georgia. All these institutions, including PMCG, are members of the state Task Force at the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia which is working on the project supporting the development of a National Infrastructure for the Potential Application of Nuclear Energy in Georgia. The Model for Analysis of Energy Demand (MAED) will be followed up by a training course in MASSAGE -Model for Energy Supply System Alternatives and their General Environmental - which is used to formulate optimal energy supply strategy for particular countries.

On October 21, 2010 PMCG successfully completed a consulting project for implementing the ISO 9001:2008 standard in one of the biggest Ferro-alloys manufacturing companies in Georgia. “Rusmetali” Ltd became the first certified Ferro-alloys manufacturing company in Georgia. “Rusmetali” LTD was established in 2005 when the company launched a factory in Rustavi, near Tbilisi, which began production in 2006. The company currently employs about 400 people. The main activity of “Rusmetali” is Ferro-alloys manufacturing but the company has the ability to produce the following products: Ferrosilicon manganese, Ferrosilicon, Ferromanganese, and Ferrochrome. The company also owns the license for several manganese ore mines and a manganese processing factory in Terdjola region (Georgia). PMCG is an independent consulting company established in 2007 offering a wide range of services to business and public sector representatives.
